Champ flight had another strong field. Seventeen players trying to get the best of Lancaster Golf Club. Dennis Reames was the early club house leader posting 71 (-1) and had to wait for three other players within striking distance. Steve French wasn’t able to capitalize on the par 5’s and finished 4th shooting 74 (+2), Newcomer, Ryan Love, (no relation to Wally), also finished with 74 (+2) and took third on the scorecard playoff. Scott Roberts, taking advantage of his vast home course knowledge finishes with a 70 (-2) and takes home the win.

As usual, A Flight puts up a battle week in and week out. This week proved no different. Nine players within 4 shots of the lead, the tournament was up for grabs. Charles Devenney keeps up his steady play and takes fifth place winning on a scorecard playoff with 70 (+7). Mike Edwards shoots 78 (+6) takes 3rd on the scorecard. Brent smith takes fourth 78 (+6). Eighteen holes wasn’t enough for Judd Dye and Eric Stanwick, both shooting 77 (+5). On to the first hole, both players bogey. Judd Dye birdies the second to win in style.

B flight provided some volatility this week with a gaggle bunched at the top of the leaderboard. 8 players within striking distance of the lead. We had to go to the scorecard ultimately to determine who would cash for 4th place. After the dust settled, Cliff Morgan cashed for 4th with a 85 (+13). Nolan Elenz finishes 3rd with a 84 (+12). To determine the champion this week, we had go back to the course for a playoff. Jake Currie and veteran John Rinaldi, both shooting 83 (+11), took two holes to determine champion. It took two holes and for the first time since 2016, John Rinaldi takes the win. Well played to both gentlemen.
