Monday - July 6th, 2020 - Firethorne CC
Thanks to the away players from 5 different tours which continues the sellout streak on these Monday events. 111 players came out ready to dodge the rain and severe storms that never got within 10 miles of the course.

In the Championship Flight, it was a successful return for Seth Holloman making his 2020 debut. 76 With Birdies on the last two holes to close his round, Seth moved from a tie for second into first place all by himself. His round of 73 (+1) was 1 better than Joe Jaspers (74, +2) who takes second place. Brian McGowan takes third (75, +3) and Scott Roberts (76, +4) rounds out the top 4.

In the A Flight, 18 holes was not enough. Roger Stevenson and Chase Brown both shot 76 to tie for top honors. They went back out to the course to determine the winner. A birdie on the second playoff hole (#2) sealed the deal for Stevenson. Third place goes to Judd Dye (77 , +5) and rounding out the top 4 was Chad Sherrill (78, +6)

In the B Flight, David Aussicker was waiting patiently in the clubhouse as he had posted a round of 80 (+8), to claim the clubhouse lead. Brad Greene had a chance on 18 to force a playoff, but a triple bogie doomed his fate. Bernie Loehr (Central, NC) (82, +10) claims second. Russell McDonald and Brad Green tied for third (83, +11). McDonald wins the scorecard playoff for third. Fifth place goes to Glenn Sammons (Augusta)(85, +13) after beating TJ Eaves (Upstate) in a scorecard playoff. TJ settles for 6th.

In the C Flight, Andre Banks was lamenting his fate as he waited for Chris Becks to finish his last hole. Being 2 shots back he felt he had let the tournament slip away. As fate would have it, Chris made an unfortunate double bogie on 18 and forced an on-course playoff. It only took one hole and a par for Andre to claim the victory. Both players shooting 84, (+12). Aaron Brinson (88, +16) takes home 3rd place after beating Tommy Phillips in a scorecard playoff. Craig Altamira takes the last paying spot with a score of 89, (+17).

In the D Flight, Richard Zonjic shoots a round of 93, (+21) to win by one shot over Joseph Pirz who takes second place.
