Lake Chesdin Delivered a Classic
The Clayton Homes Open delivered the kind of finish tournament golf is supposed to produce. Crowded leaderboards, pressure down the stretch, and three separate flights that could not be decided after 18 holes.
A Flight sent Brian Layne and DJ Engler back to Hole #1 after both posted 75. B Flight followed with a three-player playoff after Minh Huynh, Bradley Anderson, and Jamie Rouse all finished at 83. Then D Flight raised the stakes again, with Darren Grigsby, Chris Walker, Bill Clift, and Will Graves all signing for 90 and heading back out for a four-man sudden-death showdown.
Three playoffs. Five champions. One wild finish. Lake Chesdin delivered.
Flight Champions: Derek Lee, Brian Layne, Minh Huynh, Keith Weeks, and Darren Grigsby.

Grigsby, Walker, Clift, and Will Graves all finished at 90. Grigsby emerged from the four-man sudden-death playoff on Hole #1.

From Derek Lee taking control of Champ Flight to Brian Layne and Minh Huynh surviving sudden death, Keith Weeks setting the pace in C Flight, and Darren Grigsby emerging from a four-man playoff, Lake Chesdin produced drama from beginning to end.
