Providence Crowns Five
The Blue Ridge Builders Open brought the Richmond Tour to Providence Golf Club for the final regular-season tournament of 2026. Five flight championships were on the line, and the leaderboard delivered everything from two one-shot finishes to the only round in the 60s.
Jon Coullier survived a one-shot battle with Derek Lee to capture Champ Flight with a 73. Tidewater's Ron Sullins went one better, firing a 72 to take A Flight by three shots over David Montefusco.
Then Malcolm Adams delivered the round of the tournament. Five birdies helped power Adams to a 69, the only sub-70 round of the day, and an eight-shot victory in B Flight. Tyler Snellings captured C Flight with an 82, while Shawn Provost held off Brian Emerson and Jon VanSant by a single shot to win D Flight with an 84.
Five flights. Five champions. One round of 69. Providence delivered.

Sullins fired a 72 to win A Flight by three shots.

Snellings finished two shots clear to capture C Flight.

Provost held off Emerson and VanSant by one shot for the D Flight title.

The regular season is complete. Now Richmond and Tidewater come together at Kilmarlic Golf Club for the final tournament of the 2026 season. Two days of golf remain before the book officially closes on another Golfweek Amateur Tour season in Virginia.
