Edgewater GC - Results

We had a field of 56:

Champ Flight, only 4 players but it was a tight race for the top three going into the Back 9. Chase Sturkie (Charleston) and Preston Andrews (Charlotte) were within striking distance as Mike Milewski (Columbia) kept the lead. At #15, Chase had closed the gap. But Mike 36-38-74 (+2) stayed strong and parred the last three holes ending with a two shot victory over Chase 39-37-76 (+4) for his second consecutive win at Edgewater.

A Flight, it was a two-man race between Roger Stevenson (Charlotte) 39-43-82 (+10) and Ken Brock (Charleston) (38-44-82 (+10). After an exciting 18th hole, the two went into a playoff. One hole was all it took with a par to a bogey, Roger Stevenson emerged the winner.

B Flight, we one of our biggest fields in a long time with 24 players! Danny Russell (Charleston) had a solid round of 38-41-79 (+7) to come out on top over Tyler Burleson 40-42-82 (+10) and Ethan Vining 39-43-82 (+10). Christ Edmands (+12) took 4th place and Shane Lee (+13) took 5th.

C Flight, the winds really started picking up on the Back 9. Several players were around the top making the turn but Chris Becks (Charlotte) 43-44-87 (+15) played strong and eventually came out on top over Jimmy Mathis (+18) and Joseph Deese (+22).

D Flight, was no contest with new Eastern NC member William Brigman firing a 45-46-91 (+19) for a 7 shot victory over Ted Deese (+26). William earned himself a promotion to the C Flight!
