Columbia's new Player of the Year points are here! Points are only gained from events on the GolfWeek Columbia Tour, Combo Events, or Regional Tournaments.
Player must have One win on the Columbia Tour or a win at a Regional Event to be eligible for Player of the Year
1st Place One Day: 50 points + 1 pt for every player in the flight
1st Place Major or Regional Event: 100 pts + 2 pts for every player in the flight
2nd Place One Day: 20 pts
2nd Place Major or Regional Event: 40 pts
3rd Place One Day: 10 pts
3rd Place Two Day: 20 pts
Par 4 Money Hole Winner Each Flight: 10 pts
Birdie Leader Each Flight (for all GW Tournaments & eagles count as two birdies): 10 pts
Closest to the Pin: 2 pts
Hole in One: 20 pts
For small fields of 1 or 2 players: 1 player field gets 33% of place points, 2 player field gets 67% of place points
Points for Player of the Year will be posted at the end of every month on the Columbia Home Page - Player of the Year
In the event of a tie after the final event, the tie breaker will be the number of wins for the season. Majors and Regionals count for 2 and One-Day Events count for 1. If players are still tied, the tie breaker will be number of Major or Regional wins. If still tied, the tie breaker will be the most recent win.
