eGolf Local Finals: Oct 2nd-3rd ($4,000 prize pool) The eGolf Local Finals will be held at RedBridge GC and the CC of Salisbury on October 2nd-3rd. These 2 great venues will highlight the end of the regular season. If you’re not in the top ten in points this is your chance to qualify for Hilton Head if you finish in the top 4 in your flight! If you have not already done so please email me back (Yes or No) to get entered in the event. Practice rounds $30 at RedBridge (M-Friday) and $35 at CC of Salisbury (Tues-Thursday only!) This is a double points and double prize pool event. Not only is there a $4000 prize pool but also the winner of each flight will get his 54 hole National Championship in Hilton Head, SC paid for. Prize pool by flight: 1st $500 2nd $250 3rd $200 4th $100 Championship Flight: Jim Aughtry started fast and never looked back winning by five shots on Sunday. Aughtry shot 2 under 69 for the victory. Jody Clary and Mike McBride tied with 74’s but it was Clary beating out McBride on the card for 2nd place money. Dave Schmidt and Dave Brown also tied one shot back at 75. Schmidt grabbed 4th place on the card playoff. A Flight: Chris Hickey won for the first time this season with a smooth 77. Chris won by 2 shots over Ritchie Fesperman. Fesperman fired 79 for second place but his big shot came at #3 when his birdie held up for the only skin of the day worth $310. Don Bridges continues to cash late in the season with a third place 81. While points leader Chad Ballard beat out Marty James on the card for 4th place. Both Ballard and James shot 82’s. B Flight: Scott Huneycutt also won for the first time this season; notching his first victory with 85. Jimmy Chapman moved into the points lead with his second place finish of 87. Joel Barlowe, Clif Morgan, Phil VanGeersdalen and Allen Hagen all tied at 89. Barlowe grabbed second and Morgan 4th place on the card playoff. C Flight: Daniel Smith also won for the first time this season as he beat out Charles Mines on the card playoff. Both players shot 89’s but because of darkness we had to go to the card playoff instead of sudden-death. On the card Smith got Mines for his first win. Brian Sanders played well Sunday firing a 90 and cashing in third place money. John Rinaldi grabbed 4th with 92 and the C flight points lead.
