2020 CC of Salisbury Recap
On a hot and humid afternoon, 105 players from 4 local tours competed on the Donald Ross designed CC of Salisbury.
With a late start the latter groups had to really push it to get in before dark. Thankfully, the last group finished in the nick of time and thankfully there was no playoff in this flight.

In the Champ Flight, we saw out only playoff on the day as Joe Jaspers and Scott Patnode both shot event par and had to wait for Dave Brown to finish as he was only one back with a birdie putt on 18 that would have gotten him into the playoff. Unfortunately, Dave's birdie putt on 18 came up a little short and he had to settle for third. In the playoff, Joe Jasper's was able to sink a long birdie putt on the 2nd playoff hole to claim the victory. Rounding out the top 4 was Jim Aughtry with a 2 over par round of 74 beating Matt Kilgo on the second tiebreaker criteria (last 6 holes). Do not feel bad for Matt however as he walked away with the only SUPER Skin on the day worth a total of $770.

In the B Flight, David Quattlembaum scorches the field and has his best round on tour. David's round of 73 was good enough for a 7-shot victory over John Torres who takes home second shooting 80. David Aussicker had some issues on the back nine but was still able to cash for third shooting 81. Russell McDonald takes fourth shooting 82 and Zeke Cooper rounded out the top 5 shooting 83 and beating Jeff Johnson on the scorecard playoff.

In the C Flight, Brian Gregor cashes in for the first time on tour. Brian’s round of 79 bettered his best round on tour by 6 shots when he shot 85 at the Club at Irish Creek back in 2017. Chuck Young takes second shooting 84. Newcomer Darren Sweeting takes 3rd shooting 87 and beating out John Page who struggled on the last 3 holes. Steve Daniels takes 5th shooting 88 and beating out Gregg Scott on a scorecard playoff.

In the D Flight, Samir Patel wins again shooting 86 to win by 4 over Chris McGee who shot a round of 90. Once scores were posted, both Samir and Chris both got promoted automatically to the C Flight when their new AGT indexes moved below 19. Congrats on your promotion boys and good luck in the C Flight at your next event.
