Championship Flight:
Jim Aughtry played for the first time since his great week at the US Senior Open at Inverness. Jim did not disappoint as he won by 3 shots Saturday with a smooth one under par round of 71. Bill Hall gutted it out Saturday by firing a 74 good enough for second place. This was an impressive round as Hall will undergo a Hernia operation Monday morning. A pair of 75’s tied for third place butt it was Michael Bailey beating out Brian Jones on the card for third place money.
A Flight:
Points leaders Dennis Reames and Steven Clippard stood tied after 118 holes yesterday at 79. On the first playoff hole Reames hit his tee ball right and had to punch out short of the green. Reames then got it up and down for par and the sudden-death victory over Clippard. Jason Breedlove had it going early but the 30 minute rain delay affected his game but he still managed to grab third place money with 83. Also shooting 83 was Tommy Megremis but lost on the card playoff and grabbed 4th place.
B Flight:
Dustin Bumgarner won going away Saturday with his best round ever on tour a stellar 74. With the 74 Bumgarner was bumped to the A Flight as his AGT index dropped well out of the B Flight range. Congrats Dustin you’ll do great in A Flight from here on out. Finishing eight shots back and cashing for the first time since being bumped up from C flight was Scott Grigg, who shot 82 for second place. Gary Bumgarner also kept the family in pace as he finished third Saturday with 83. Seth Wilson and Nolan Elenz both fired 84’s but it was Wilson winning on the card playoff for 4th place money.
C Flight:
Mike Hill also shot his best round on tour a first place 81 on Saturday. With that score his AGT index also fell below C Flight standards thus a bump up to B flight. Brian Sanders finished second with 85 and Dana Greer grabbed third with 86. Jeff Gastineau third at 89 cashed in 4th place all alone.
D Flight:
Josh Calhoun got his second win of the year and also a promotion to C Flight with a round of 85. Newcomer Jeremiah Hunt grabbed second with 97 and Chris Harmon third place at 99.
