Championship Flight:
For the third time this season Joe Jaspers and Jim Aughtry had to play extra holes to decide the winner. Going into this sudden-death they were even at one win each. The playoff started at 18 as the entire field watched from the deck above the 18th fairway. Both players made solid pars and on the replay of 18 pars again. The third playoff hole was the par 5 first hole and both birdied. Finally on the fifth playoff hole Jaspers chipped in on the par three 12th for the victory. Both players fired 73’s in regulation play. One shot back found 2 two players Chris Cassetta & Adam Vincent at 74. Cassetta grabbed third place money by beating Vincent on the card playoff.
A Flight:
Brian Jones won for the second time this season firing a strong 75 on Saturday. Jones along with the victory received a promotion to the Championship Flight as his index dropped to 3.0. Finishing in second place was Daryl Ewing just 2 shots back with 77. Terry Upright, Dennis Reames and Chad Ballard all tied at 78, but it was Upright grabbing third and Reames fourth on the card playoff.
B Flight:
Bryan Chiravolo took his first event to heart as he posted the victory by one shot. Bryan shot a smooth 75, beating out Rick Fliss by one who fired 76, help by an eagle 3 at the par five 4th hole. Bart Shartzer continues to improve and finished in third place with 77 and received a promotion to A Flight as his index warranted it. Newcomer John Chmara also took advantage of the par 5’s and finished in fourth place with 79.
C Flight:
Scott Grigg shot his best ever score on tour breaking firing an automatic promotion 79. The victory was Griggs second of the season and should handle his promotion fine as he will now move to B flight. Richard Marazza continues to improve as he also fired his best round on tour with a second place 83. Jeff Gastineau finished in 3rd place with 85 & Steve Daniels cashed in 4th with 86.
D Flight:
Newcomer Jeff Furr hoisted the crystal shooting 99 and beating out Chris Harmon by only 2 shots at 101.
