Salisbury Recap 2019
112 golfer’s teed it up on a sunny and cool Saturday afternoon in the Carolinas. While the grass on the fairways have not turned and started their growth, the greens at the Country Club of Salisbury were great as usual.
In the Championship Flight, David Schmidt wins for the first time in 2019 with a round of 1 over par 72. Pictured above is Dave with his mother who was present after the round to see Dave receive his awards. Second Place went to Joe Jaspers (73, +2) who tied with Jim Aughtry (73, +2) but it was Jaspers winning on the scorecard playoff. 4th went to Brian Swenson who shot 75 (+4) without carding a single birdie on the day.
In the A Flight, it was Chris Cloud (77, +6) claiming his first victory in 2019. In the B Flight, we had our only playoff. 3 golfers tied at 85 (+14) and returned to the 10th hole to settle the score. It only took one hole and a score of par for Brad Greene to claim the victory over Larry Watkins (2nd) and Joe Lewis (3rd). 4th place went to Andy Ricci (86, +15) who was only 1 shot back and 5th place went to Tyler Phillips (87, +16)

In the D Flight, Toby Strickland (91, +20) wins by 4 and claims his first victory of the season. Matt Walker continues his strong play early in the year and takes second after winning a scorecard playoff with George Wood. Both players shooting 95 (+24).
Thanks again to everyone who comes out to compete in our events. We raised another $345 for our Charity of choice "Stand Up to Cancer" and we thank you all for participating in this great cause. As of today, we have raised a total of $1,720 and are blowing away our numbers from last year.
Our next 2 events are back to back MONDAY's. April the 8th we are at Cedarwood CC for a 1:00 p.m. Shotgun start and the following Monday (15th) we head over to Pine Island CC for a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start. Please register and pay early. As you have seen we have sold out all of our events with the exception of 1 and you certainly do not want to miss these two courses.
Thanks
