Carolina Lakes blustery conditions prove to be a tough test on Saturday.

Winners from Carolina Lakes!
Saturday’s tournament at Carolina lakes saw a field of 108 players compete in very blustery conditions. In Championship flight 3 players shot 74 to get into a sudden death playoff. New tour member Chad Julka went par to eliminate Chase Wilson on the first playoff hole. Then Chad birdied the second playoff hole to knock out Mark Ballew for his first victory of the season. Rounding out the top 5 was John Sadri at 75 and Chad Frye with 76.
A Flight was won by Steve French with 81 beating John Cormaci by one with 82. Jim Boyce and David Trull both shot 84’s Saturday with Boyce nipping Trull on the card for third. Bruce Pietrangelo’s 85 was good enough for a fifth place finish.
B Flight saw Steve Wichnoski win for the first time this season firing an 81 for the victory. Roy Santonil finished one shot back with 82 and once again a pair of 84’2 tied for third. Mike Nasekos won over Scott Honeycutt for third place. Buddy Blackwell shot 85 for fifth place.
C Flight victory came with a little flair as Ronnie Huffstetler knocked in his second shot on 18 for an eagle 2. The eagle gave Ronnie an 86 and firs place in C flight. Three 91’s were posted and John Morris finished second on the card followed by Jeremy Treadaway and Dave Gabbard in fourth place. Chris Jenkins, Brian Sanders and Danny Waldrop all tied for fifth place with 92’s.
The tours next stop will be Saturday March 15th at Rocky River GC in Concord. Home of the Lowes motor speedway.
