The eGolf Amateur Tour makes its next stop to a great private country club and a tour Saturday 8/28 Cabarrus CC a 1:00pm shotgun start. This field is limited to 92 players due to limited golf carts so email me back ASAP.
Please email me back (Yes or No) ASAP. This is a 1:00 shotgun start. It will be one of the largest fields of the season. And as the season winds down every tourney is important in gaining points to be in the top 10 for the National Championship in Hilton Head.
Practice rounds are available this Tuesday-Friday only for $35.

Championship Flight:
Jim Aughtry played his best round of the season Saturday at Northstone CC. Aughtry got out of the gate quickly with birdies at one and two. Todd McPherson kept the pressure on Aughtry with birdies at 2 and 3. At the turn Aughtry stood at on under par 35 tied with Mike McBride, while McPherson, Schmidt and Goodelle all were at level par 36’s. Aughtry started out with another birdie at the 10th hole while McBride pared it. Then Aughtry poured it on with a birdie at the par 5 12th hole, and then finishing his round with birdies at the difficult par 3 17th and par 4 18th. holes. On the day Aughtry had seven birdies to fire a blistering 5 under 67. Finishing three shots back was Todd McPherson at 2 under par 70 and third was Mike McBride with one under par 71. Alex Brenner rounded out the top four spots with an even par 72.
A Flight:
Jason Breedlove won for the first time all season by firing a smooth 79 on Saturday. Breedlove played the front nine at on over par 37, highlighted by the birdie at the 467 yard par four 4th hole. His back nine was a little more adventurous with a birdie at 14 triple bogie at 15 and double at 17. All that still combined for the first place victory and the only player in A Flight to break 80. The rest of A flight was right behind Breedlove with Mike Nasekos cashing in second place with 80 and Chad Ballard third with 81. Jeff Moss a former Northstone member took fourth place with 83.
B Flight:
Jimmy Chapman played consistent all day and got back in the winners circle with a suburb round of 78. Newcomer Seth Wilson continues to improve his game on tour by finishing 2 shots back in second place with 80. Doug Watson took third with 81 while Allen Hagen cashed for the first time since being moved up from C flight with his best round of 82.
C Flight:
Phillip Lowndes join the tour along with his sun back in July and on Saturday the rookie took first place by one shot with 85. Right behind Lowndes were 2 players Kevin Wagner and Ken burke at 86. Kevin Wagner had not played well this year until the last few weeks we have seen his game coming around. Saturday he put it all together for his first cash of the season beating out Burke on the card for second place money. Ken Burke finished in third place also and Larry Hinson’s 90 was good enough for 4th place money.
Just a reminder that the first ever 54 hole Tour Championship is just around the corner. Go to the front of the web page for all the details and great lodging deals that we have been able to negotiate. Also the courses that each flight will play are posted and with 54 holes it will give everyone a better chance to win as one bad 9 holes or round you can come back from.
