Thanks to everyone who played in the first ever Players Championship this past weekend giving us four major tournaments on the season. As always the results were close and we had a lot of first time winners punch their ticket to Hilton Head for the Tour Championship.
Moving into August the tour stops at 2 great private clubs; first Firethorne CC on Saturday 8/10 a 1:30 shotgun start then 2 weeks later at Northstone CC on Saturday 8/24 also 1:30pm shotgun.

Championship Flight:
Billy Hall finally broke through to get his first major win on tour. After day one scores from Cowans Ford CC six players were with 6 shots of the leaders. Day One leaders were Jay Barnes 67, Billy Hall 68 and Scott Patnode 71. Day two saw Barnes putter hot again as he had 5 birdies and an eagle but ended up tied with Hall after 36 holes. Hall then birdied the first sudden-death playoff hole for the victory, both players fired 2 day totals of 139. Scott Patnode also played great finishing in third place a 2 under par total of 142 and Rob Phillips has his best major ever finishing in fourth place at 145.
A Flight:
Tim Smith also wins his first major in fine fashion with 73-78=151 total. Tim had to make a 8 foot par putt on his final hole to secure the victory. Mike Weber and Jason Breedlove finished at 152 with Miller grabbing second on the card playoff. Jason Long rounded out the top four places with an impressive 2 day total of 153.
B Flight:
Joe Lewis has not won in quite a long time on tour but this weekend he hung in there and posted his first major victory with 78-80=156 total. Rich Daniel tried to stay close but came up a little short in second place with 82-80=162 total for second place money. Allen Hagen had the comeback round of the day firing 76 to go along with Saturdays round of 87 and finish overall third at 163. Day one leader Judd Dye stumbled a bit day 2 but still finished in fourth at 154.
C Flight:
Larry Hinson won his first major event with 82-90=172. Richard Cairns finished in second place at 174 then Charles Mines was third at 175. Steve Daniels rounded out the top four spots in C flight with a 2 day total of 176.
D Flight:
Eric Parker hoisted his first ever major championship trophy with a 2 day total of 176. Stefan N-Plotnicki played consistent all weekend and finished in solo second with 185 followed by Chris Harmon at 193.
