Championship Flight:
Joe Jaspers continues his great play this season as he won by four shots Saturday at Rock Barn. Jaspers fired a 2 under par 70 and took over the season point’s lead. Going into the eGolf Open Jaspers would be the early favorite to win again. Todd McPherson continues to cash this year and finished in second place with 74. Scott Miller got into the money with a third place finish at 75 while last years eGolf Open winner Jody Clary finished 4th with 76.
A Flight:
Neal Gaston much like Jaspers won fairly easily on Saturday firing a smooth 76 for his third victory of the season. The victory moved Neal to Championship Flight for this weekend’s eGolf Open. Congrats to Neal and good luck in Championship Flight. Marty James was the only other player to break 80 with his second place 79. Jason Breedlove was having a tough day and then all of the sudden dunked his wedge shot on number 16 for an eagle 2. That shot helped Jason get back on track and finish in third place with 81. Darryl Cook, Phil Gregorich and Mike Nasekos all finished with 82, but it was Cook beating them all on the card for 4th place money.
B Flight:
Jerry York and Richard Ellams finished the day tied at 79 for first place. York who has been in another sudden-death playoff this year was glad to get another chance to avenge his loss earlier in the year. Going back to the par 5 18th hole York did just that making a par to beat out Ellams who made bogey. James Earles from the Pinehurst tour game traveled well with his third place finish of 82. William buie beat out Joe Lewis on the card for 4th place.
C Flight:
Dean Barron shot his second straight 82 and won yesterday at Rock Barn. The victory will be Barron’s last in C flight has he graciously accepted his promotion to B flight for next weekend. Mike Hinson was right on Deans heals with his best round of the year firing an 83 to finish in second. The Western Piedmonts tour Billy Cauthen grabbed third with 84 and Sindo Mayor’s 85 got him 4th.
