Awesome Season comes to a close

Season Long Champions

The season final tournament of the year was at Crowfield Plantation.  It was up in the air as to whether we would even get it in with Hurricane Helene wreaking havoc in the southeast. The golf gods took care of us and the course was in incredible shape and played very tough!

The Championship flight was quite a battle all day as Bill Jenner, Mike Cobb and Dan Wanner traded punches and the lead all day long.  Bill was in the club house with a 1 over par and tied with Dan who had a little trouble on the last three holes to fall behind Bill and Mike Cobb who finished in second on his Birthday!

The A flight was also a close battle and basically it appeared that Andy Motroni 81, won by attrition.  It appeared that Joseph jones had it wrapped up but a triple on 18 was not what the doctor ordered as he went from 7 to 10 over to finish one shot back.

The B flight was also very tight as Johnnie Cooper and Tyler Martin were both in the clubhouse with very nice rounds of 81.  Andy weeks came into the difficult 18th hole with a two shot lead and secured the victory with a bogie to finish one up on the two from Pimlico.

The C flight was more a bottle for second as Justin Miller said he “left the driver in the bag” to ensure he hit more fairways.  The strategy worked as he fired and 85 to secure a 6 shot victory over the season long flight Champion Joseph Deese.

The D flight was also a battle that came down to the last group as Cowboy, Brent Westbrook and Hayden Dawson all were tied with 2 holes to go.  Cowboy’s triple on 18 left him one shot back and Hayden secured the victory with a birdie on the first playoff hole to Brents chip in par.

Congratulations to all the winners and our season long points champions
