Tournament Results
Champ Flight - Leading off the event, we had a home course Member come out of the gates strong. At the turn he was under par and contined to defend his course with a total of 5 Birdies. Alex Duran would take the championship with a -3 (69), making it his FIRST VICTORY on tour!!!
A Flight - Being the next flight to follow and having some familiar faces, everyone had a chance to take it all. At the turn, we had five players in the mix with five strokes separating them. Having a solid back nine at +1 would be the difference in taking the Championship. Drake Wehrs would take the championship with a +1 (73), making it his FOURTH VICTORY of the season!!!
B Flight - Just like every event we have, this flight always has a battle to the end. At the turn, we had one player with the lead but eight others within five strokes of the leader and plenty of golf remaining. With a solid back nine consisting of six pars, we would see Kenny Crowe take the championship with a +4 (76), making this his FOURTH VICTORY of the season!!! Daniel Wiig, Assistant Director of the Arizona Tour, would take second with a +7 (79), and John Cobian III would take third place with a +9 (81).
C Flight - Being the flight that has multiple playoffs this season, any of the players could come out with the victory. At the turn, we had six players in the mix with four strokes separating them. It would come down to the wire to determine a champion. we would see Jerome Bingham take the championship with a +6 (78), to take BACK TO BACK VICTORIES and a PROMOTION TO B FLIGHT!!! Rafael Hernandez would take second with a +8 (80).
D Flight - Finishing up with our final flight, we always see a tight race throughout the entire tournament. At the turn, we had seven players in the mix with three strokes separating them. We would have another flight for the championship, but a solid final four holes would be all that was needed. Blake Lightfoot would take the championship with a +14 (86), making it his FIRST VICTORY of the season!!! Oscar Delgado would take second with a +16 (88). Taking third place in the flight we would have Andy Zapien with a +19 (91).
