Evan Silkworth, Tour Director

Collin Wood, Assistant Tour Director

Mike Winters, Assistant Tour Director

Evan Silkworth brings a wealth of operational expertise and a true passion for competitive golf to his new role as the Local Tour Director for the New York Upstate market. A seasoned PGA Professional who has successfully run hundreds of tournaments, Evan is known for his meticulous attention to detail, smooth event execution, and genuine commitment to creating unforgettable player experiences.

As the owner of Hudson Valley Indoor Golf, Evan has built a reputation for elevating every aspect of golf operations—from technology and scoring to player engagement and customer service. His hands-on leadership style and love for the game show in everything he does, and he’s thrilled to bring that same energy to the Golfweek Amateur Tour.

With a mix of enthusiasm, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what makes competition fun, Evan is excited to lead the tour into its next chapter and deliver the best season yet.

Collin Wood is a lifelong golfer whose passion for the game led him to a full career change after the pandemic. Since joining Hudson Valley Indoor Golf in early 2022, he’s been an integral part of its growth—mastering simulator technology, supporting daily operations, and helping build out a full-service club repair shop.

He also gained valuable on-course experience at Columbia Golf & Country Club, working from the bag room up to Head of Clubhouse Maintenance while reigniting his love for competitive golf.

Collin is currently enrolled in the PGA PGM Program and preparing for his Playing Ability Test. At HVIG, he serves as Assistant Pro, running leagues and tournaments, assisting with clinics, providing individual lessons, and handling the majority of club repair services.

His operational background, teaching experience, and commitment to player development make him a perfect fit to help lead the Golfweek Amateur Tour.

Mike Winters is a lifelong golfer who brings both passion and firsthand experience to the team. As a longtime and active participant in the Golfweek Amateur Tour, he knows exactly what makes the player experience special—competitive camaraderie, well-run events, and a tour that feels like home.

Over the years, Mike has built a reputation as a dedicated competitor, a supportive playing partner, and someone who consistently elevates the groups he’s part of. His understanding of tournament flow, pace of play, and the expectations of amateur competitors gives him an invaluable player-centric perspective.

Mike’s enthusiasm for the game, deep familiarity with the tour, and commitment to helping golfers of all levels feel welcome make him an outstanding fit for this leadership role.
