The second Major of the season was truly amazing. We enjoyed fantastic weather in Ruidoso and witnessed impressive scores on both courses.

The Beat the Heat Major Championship consistently delivers, and this year was no exception, thrilling all the players who made the trip. 

Champ Flight - This flight would have a battle on thier hands with two players tied after Day 1, but one other player only three strokes back. They had fourteen birdies combined for the first day. On Day 2 we would see a comback happening and with a solid round it would be complete. John Figueroa would clinch the title with a Two Day TOTAL of  +12 (156), making this his 1st Victory of the season. 

A Flight - Following closely, the A Flight featured familiar faces and a battle we had between two of them. After Day 1 we would have one stroke lead between them, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion. On Day 2 one of them would run away with the tournament and claim the victory with ease. Dan Duran would become our champion with a TOTAL of +20 (164) score making this his 1st Victory of the season.

B Flight - As usual, the B Flight offered battle until the end. After Day 1 would end with two players having amazing rounds, but the rest of the field was right behind and wanting to complete that comeback. Day 2 we would see a second consistant round which would not only take the victory with ease, but would make a statement in the flight. Kenny Crowe would claim the championship with a TOTAL of +20 (164) score, marking this his  3rd STRAIGHT Victory this season. Securing the second place was Jordan Morrow, with a total of +24 (168).

C Flight - The C Flight had the entire field in contention with five players within five stroke of the leader after Day 1. We would then see one of the lowest scores of the round on Day 2 with a comeback be completed. Ricardo Almeida would claim the championship with a TOTAL of +26 (170) and making it his 1st victory of the season, and a PROMOTION TO B FLIGHT!!! Jimmy Enriquez would take second with a total of +29 (173). 

D Flight - Concluding the event with the final flight, the tournament witnessed an amazing event with a possible fourth comeback. After Day 1 we would have two players with low rounds and big lead. On Day 2 it was coming down to the last final holes and a possible playoff happening. In the end, AJ Charles would claim the championship with TOTAL of +26 (170) score, making this his FIRST VICTORY ON TOUR. Cassandra Dulworth  would take the second place spot with a total of +28 (172). Rounding out the field would be Shawn Allen with a total of +44 (188). Cassandra and AJ would also be PROMOTED TO C FLIGHT!!!
