Well we are finally getting into the spring weather; it couldn’t have been a better day. We had a great crowd, and it’s always fun with the rowdy boys from Charleston tour. I apologize for the delay in our start, but the charity scrabble group was slow in finishing…. The pro thought 1230 would be better and that’s when we started… and most got through at 530… not bad.

I am really proud of the way you guys played, the Columbia tour won most of the prize money Saturday…. Congratulations to all of you. This is a combo tour event which means the prize money was combined, BUT the points will be broken out based on ONLY the players from our Columbia tour. (If you have question call me)

Here are the results for the flights:

CHAMP FLIGHT DAN WANNER Charleston tour had a 77 to win and prize was $80

A FLIGHT PAUL SANDERSON had a 78 with 3 birdies to win, $130, MIKE PETERS Chs had an 82 for 2^nd $80, and JOYVER TEJADA had an 86 for 3^rd and $50

B FLIGHT this one went to the Charleston tour...JAMES RAVNEL won $115 and DENNY MILLER 2^nd $65…. They both tied and RAVENEL won in 2 hole playoff.

C FLIGHT this one was all Columbia JOHN FURR had an 83 to win his first event and $160, GARY COLLINS had an 84 for 2^nd and $95, and 3^rd went to JULIAN REVILLE who had an 85…. And won $65. This was pretty tight flight with only 3 strokes difference between them.

D FLIGHT another good showing for Columbia TODD LEDFORD won with a playoff on the course $180, 2^nd was COWBOY NONE Charleston $105, and 3^rd TOM HADDAD with a 93 $75…. Both LEDFORD AND NONE had a 91 for the round.

Thanks again for showing up and we gave out tour shirts for our MEMBERSHIP CLUB (players who have referred members who have joined) they were JARED BEARD, LAWRENCE WHITESIDE AND MARCUS DUDLEY. They are nice shirts and you can get one too just get somebody to join. I would like you all to help out in expanding the tour….. if you could take some of our brochures and pass them out at places you go to (driving range, restaurants, retail stores)… this would help get the tours name out.
